I believe you should let one of the DB management/maintenance tools sort it
all out and then really try and figure out how these entries came about. A
couple of thoughts (usual warning for late Friday afternoon thoughts apply)
:

- If I'm not mistaken, we once had a single field manual master (?!) which
we converted to an auto. This was done with either DBGeneral or ADAGER as I
don't remember when this was done and we've have been happy customers of
both at times. Anyway I believe we had the *option* of deleting any entries
that didn't have corresponding details. Any chance you've been there done
that ?!

- Assuming you've got a backup etc.etc. what would happen if you added two
entries to one of the corresponding detail sets, using the two key values
in question and then removed them again eg. using QUERY. It might be worth
a try and it would be interesting to know of the outcome.

Subject: Image Automatic Master

Somehow I have an order-number automatic master dataset which has
2 entries without corresponding detail entries. How can I remove
the auto-master entries?

Thanks.
