you got me wondering on this one as well -- I forgot "flash" doesn't play
[well] on my current browser, so all I got is a blank screen.

OTOH, many of these "read-your-mind" tricks are ways of having you manipulate
a number such that no matter what you started with, you'll either come to a
known result [involving somehow subtracting out your original number] or in
the case of ordered/arranged pictures or numbers, the instructions work out
in such a way that "at some point", no matter where you started, you'll hit
"square X", at which point the "mind reader" can direct you in "the only
possible path" at will, thus forcing you to pick a particular number or
picture.
