As usual, I don't explain myself very well... It is not a "new" system, it is a
"used", "previously been owned"... "refurbished" system, which btw, IS under HP
support.

My problem is, what is trying to call sphashopenr?  Since the modules are no
longer available, that's not the issue.  But how do I find which modules need
to be replaced.

I tried re-installing DBGENRL...  I also tried restoring the NETBASE account
just so I could do the :RUN NBINST.PUB.NETBASE;INFO="REMOVE"

any more questions?
