Hello 3000 friends,

I followed the recent interesting discussion on this topic
and yesterday happened to notice the Aberdeen report on the
Access HP Web Server... did everyone of you notice that nice
document (or even read it)?

If not, then goto http://www.hp.com/go/3000servers for it.

"HP 3000: Continuously Increasing Customer Success - The Aberdeen Group"

It is too long (and too copyrighted) to be quoted here, but
I really enjoyed reading it. Does anybody of you happen to
know if the Aberdeen Group is related to HP or independent?

Lars:

The Aberdeen Group is an independent research firm, much like the =
Gartner Group and the Yankee Group. They are in no way affiliated with =
HP.

One thing, though - these reports are commissioned in many cases - by =
the hardware vendors, so be sure that it was an INDEPENDENT report, and =
not a commissioned report. =20
I saw one commissioned by another major hardware vendor which looked =
independent - it wasn't worth the paper it was printed on, replete with =
trumped up statistics, etc.

HP, however, only publishes reports which are independent, so the one =
you reference is probably independant as well.=20

Best Regards,
Joe Geiser
