Here's a question somewhat related to networking an H-P printer using a
JetDirect. I have a LPQ1500 lineprinter, and a couple of HP LaserJet 4050
TN 's connected to our 928RX using the JetDirects. Both device types work
great for almost everything. MANMAN reports, quiz reports, simple "copy
file to *LP11" operations, output redirection, etc. works great. The only
time a problem occurs is when I am generating output from EDIT/3000 or
QUERY. I generate an $EDTLIST (List all offline - such as program source
code) or a QUERY report ($QSLIST) to our good old HP-IB device and it prints
as expected. Send the exact same spoolfile to the network device, and a
blank page (sheet) is inserted between every single page of printed report.
No other report source causes this, and EDITOR and QUERY does not do this
with our HP-IB (*sigh*) and DTC serial devices. No one at HP can seem to
give me a satisfactory answer.
