We have been reviewing our DR plans as well. One of my tasks was to review
the procedures with all of the third party vendors on the HPe3000. I found

Hmmm ... At an earlier point in my career, I seriously considered coming to
the States for work. I was even offered a few good opportunities.

Then I have a few questions :

- As a French citizen working in the States would I have been an H1B person
?
- Would I have been able to bring my family with me ?
- Would I have incurred your (not directly to one person specifically - a
general comment) wrath if I had been able to keep my job in the current
turmoil ?
- Or would I simply have been asked to fly back ?
- How long does it take to be granted permanent resident status ?

My view of the USA on this side of the Pond is that it still offers much
better work and integration opportunities than Europe. Is this view of mine
distorted by distance ?
