have you tried checking the 'ts' ci variables instead of the jcw's?  i
think you'll find them more trustworthy.

at some point, the 'ts' variables for turbostore became part of plain ol'
store.  sig sysman has asked hp to 1) document the variables; 2) make them
official.  technically, someone at hp could have a 'better idea' and these
*very helpful* variables could go away.  we'd rather that they didn't
