If I use the :! rule operator I receive the message:

make: *** No rule to make target `!', needed by `USLRUSS'. Stop.

This ruleop is necessary for commands such as SPL which only allow one
filename as a source.

Can anyone help me/tell me why my make doesn't work?

Thanks,
Russell
