Completely off topic, but worth it, I think:
Last night on KQED, one of our local PBS channels, they aired a three
hour program on the history of personal computers, entitled "Triumph
of the Nerds". They did an excellent job of bringing us up to date
from Xerox's PARC and New Mexico's MITS right up to events that
happened just a few weeks ago. Of course HP was not mentioned once,
but there was more than enough to go around about Xerox, Intel, IBM,
MITS, Apple, Lotus, 3Com, Adobe, Visicalc, and a whole lot more.
This show was very well done and I would recommend it highly. Watch
for it on your local PBS station, or if you can't find it, you can
order the video tapes yourself. I think they said they are $49.95.

How come I was doing the same thing these guys were doing at the same
time they were doing it and I'm still working on my first billion?
