Hi Tim,
I researched this recently. What I got from HP was that the RJ45 ports
"don't generate modem signals". If you have a dtc16 or dtc72 you can get a
MDP -- Modem Distribution Panel to proivide modem ports.
Regards,
Mark

Subject: Re: [HP3000-L] DTC RJ45 to Modem DB25 Pins?
OK, the "HP DTC Cabling and Racking Guide" implies this is not possible. At
least in so far as it does not list the pin configuration to do this.
There is a pin configuration for "DTC DB25 to Modem DB25" but none for "DTC
RJ45 to Modem DB25".
Does anyone have any experience with this? Can anyone confirm the manual's
lack of these connections really means it can not be done? Do I need to
acquire a DTC DB25 distribution box (what I sometimes hear referred to as a
"POD")?
