Hi all,

I have a question about (or related to) Security/3000.

We have a server batch process on the HP3000 that gets a MPE logon
string
from the client. It then uses the intrinsic AIFCHANGELOGON to check this
logon string, and if it is valid, the intrinsic changes the process's
logon environment to that of the new user, thus simulating a logon.
Unfortunately, AIFCHANGELOGON does not load the new user's UDC's, so we
have to run a copy of CI.PUB.SYS to do that. After this, the process
runs in the same environment as it would when it was started
interactively.

This works fine, but one of our customers uses Security/3000 as well and
on their system, the account UDC does not get executed. This could
perhaps be a MPE security issue (though the UDC does get executed when
you log in interactively), but I have a nagging feeling that perhaps
Security/3000 might be in the way here.

So the question is: would Security/3000 in any way influence the above
described process, and would there be a difference between interactive
and batch mode ? I can't test it here, we don't have the product (gee,
I'm a programmer and I just _hate_ secure systems ;-).

Any ideas will be much appreciated.

:)

Best regards,
