HELP: 922LX bootable from external C1520B ???

I would like to install an HP28642A SCSI adapter in a 922LX.  I would
connect a C1520B SCSI DDS drive to that.  I use MPE/iX 4.0 and my
IODFAULT.PUB.SYS file include those devices so it should work.  Now, I
would like to know if I will be able to BOOT from that SCSI drive ???  I
know that on some older 950/960, you have to update the IODC firmware but
does it apply to a 922LX ???
