Hi Karl,

We replaced our very unreliable C40 printer about a month ago with an 8100.
The printer is connected via an external JetDirect unit and has been working
fantastic. Since the 8100 was in for evaluation, the only problem is that the
operators have to load paper into it since the evaluation unit does not have
high capacity input/output trays and also no duplex printing. We have ordered
tow printers with all of the features and are anxiously awaiting their arrival.
IN other words we're very happy with the printer right now.

Subject: HP 8100 printer with HP3000

Is there anyone using HP's 8100 printer with the HP3000?
If so, how is the printer connected to the 3000?

We have been using 3si and 4si printers with Xcelnet(?) cards through serial
DTC connections. I would like upgrade these printers and would appreciate
some experiences on connecting an 8100 to the 3000.

Thanks,

Karl Hancock
