Since upgrading from 4.0 to 5.0, we have one special form spool
file that has caused the output spooler to Stop spooling on the
device where the forms are printed. The console gets about 1/2
page of diagnostics that I have abbreviated below.

Spooler could not complete output of FILE o### Native message 9511
Output spooler Ldev #33: FDEVICECONTROL error Native message 9547
Storage management SIO undefined function FS Error -6001
Printer storage manager: an error was reported from a lower level #134
The device is off-line Low level I/O message 204
 Output spooler LDEV #33: Stoped

Physical observation shows that the device is *NOT* off-line.
Further inspection yields that the file in fact did complete
printing without any loss of data. The immediate remedy is to
STARTSPOOL ## and continue on.

The file equate is straight forward:
  FILE RCIR3722;DEV=LP2,08,01;FORMS=SCS CARRIER INVOICES (CICI1IN1).

Has anyone else seen this behavior? The only suggestion provided by
the manual was to make sure the device was functioning properly.

Regards,
