Maybe I should have (re)visited the www.qss.com web site for
a closer look at their QSDK library for HP COBOL programmers
before posting my question -- it would have saved me a lot of
typing. I have only skimmed the downloaded QSDK manual so far,
but besides being an interesting read on socket programming,
even if you don't plan to use QSDK, it always seems to whisper
at me "do not reinvent this wheel..." ;-)
