I will try to keep this short,

I am running for the INTEREX Board of Directors. The ballots will be/are
being mailed to all voting members, with the ballots due back by Oct. 1
for international members, and Oct. 31st for US members.

Please take a couple of minutes and familiarize yourself with all the
candidates and vote for those you feel are best qualified to help lead
your USERS group. Information on the candidates will soon be published
at the INTEREX web site, with the ability to ask the candidates
questions. You can also ask any question of me by emailing me directly,
( I don't want to waste any more bandwidth on this valuable listserver.)
There is also information in this past month's INTEREX Press.

A short note about why I am running,

Most importantly, I feel users groups (including INTEREX) should be run
by users, not consultants or HP. (I have nothing against HP or
consultants, but I feel they should not have a dominance in running an
indpendent users group)

I feel that INTEREX has not been representing the HP3000 fairly in the
recent past, although it seems INTEREX is starting to addressing this
issue.

INTEREX should make its services available to a wider range of users by
being more flexible with the cost of services such as HPWorld.

INTEREX should also make better use of the RUG/Chapter structures to
reach more people at the grass roots level.

I hope you read about all the candidates and vote for those that you
feel can help guide INTEREX into the next century.

Thanks for letting me say a few words and waste a little bandwidth.

MPE Forever!
