I've seen it done.  You have to get the metal hot to the touch, like a black
car would get in the summer sun, then you just need to get a small piece of
dry ice and place it in the middle of the dent.  It will shrink the metal
and pop the dent out.  This only works on small dents, so some of the larger
dents will still have to be done the old fashioned way.
