  Blake,
You may wish to try adding the parameter   ;files=40000 to the STORE
command line.
In early versions of MPE there were directory limitations of around
10000 file names in the STORE command, by adding the ;files= parameter
you could increase the directory block on tape.  I don't know if this is
still a problem in MPEIX STORE command, but we still use this parameter
on full backups.
