We are using powerbuilder for our next generation of software--
our previous was written in Fortran. We also use Image/SQL.
Powerbuilder will use a run-time Allbase mapping structure to get
to Image/SQL, and this can slow things down. If you just want to
have access to legacy data, then using Image will work fine.
However, if you want to create a whole new application using
Powerbuilder, then Allbase will provide slightly better
performance.
