I have a client using PDQ on MPE 5.5, Express 2; it works the same
as it always did.

This client sticks to an old version of QUIZ, since PDQ can't handle
new enhancements anyway.  They use HP's Dictionary/3000 for the
Quiz/PDQ programs.  Transact is the language of choice, and Inform
is heavily used, so this means maintaining only one dictionary.
