We have purchased DATAMAX DMX - E4203 printer, which came with parallel port.
It does haveLANTRONIX MPS100-03 converter from parallel to TCP/IP.
I can print to the printer via PC sending info to TCP/IP through windows
driver, but when I try to send anything from HP3000 (I am using NPCONFIG and
configured the printer just like a LaserJet - I got a feeling this is where I
screwed up) I am getting the following error from HP3000:
16:48/81/Output spooler, LDEV #230: Started.
16:48/81/Output spooler, LDEV #230: SNMP error SNMP_NoSuchName reported
while retrieving printer status.
Native Mode Spooler message 9656
16:48/81/Output spooler, LDEV #230: Cannot communicate with network printer.
Check network xport config, NPCONFIG.PUB.SYS, xport and links started status,
intermediate network, and printer status.
Native Mode Spooler message 9662
Device #230 is configured via IOCONFIG as Path=none;ID=HPTCPJD (Should this
be something else?)
In NPCONFIG I simply specified the device 230 associated to IP address
192.1.1.230 without any setup files...
Any ideas? What other printer IDs can we have in IOCONFIG?
Thanks a lot in advance
