Hi all,

I went to the bookstore this weekend to see about some 'IX' info. I read a
preface from one book that said I might not be able to load LINUX on my PC
due to hardware (Sound/Video cards in specific). The book also pointed out
that I'll need around 850MB on a partitioned drive available...ouch!
Lastly, it said I would, at boot time, have to decide what OS to use, and
that I might have some trouble running apps on LINUX that were designed for
WINDOWS....

My question is this: Does anyone have any suggestions on where to start
with all of this for us folks that are MPE, and not well versed at PC's?
