Fellow Listers,

First, although I work for HP this is not an endorsement by my company but
*is* a
personal recommendation of a very good product that runs great on MPE/iX.

A few months ago (I believe that would be about 3-4 re-orgs ago) we were
considering
a standard calendaring tool to be used by our North American MPE Support
organization.

We chose a tool called Calcium that claimed it would run on any platform
that could run
perl and a webserver. Hey, MPE can do that so we downloaded the demo. After
a week of
trying it out we spent the $495 USD for the Professional edition with email
reminders and
proceeded to create our MPE Team calendar. We soon discovered that we had a
problem due to
truncate not being implemented on MPE version of perl but Fred at BrownBear
Software was great
to work with and coded us a fix in less than a day.

Other teams within HP got word of this and we now have a total of 14 teams
using this calendar
including the Un*X and NT teams.

For those of you that have access to the hp.com domain I would be glad to
give you the url of the
calendar, send me a personal email and I will send that to you.

Guy Paul
