Fernando Li-Elguera asks if anyone knows about the expected launch date for
MPE/iX 6.0. HP's Dave Snow reported at the recent HP World that CSY (the
3000 division) expects to ship the Communicator and order forms for the
release in early October, and actually begin shipping the tapes late in
that month. His estimates were as of mid-August. Testing can sometimes
cause release dates to slip.

As for features, Samba/iX, Java/iX, Domain Name Services, Multiple Job
Queues and Master Dataset Expansion will be in 6.0. Netscape FastTrack will
not. We're now tracking a story about which version of Samba will be
included, and whether it will be current enough. Details in our FlashPaper
