i may be wrong -- i probably am (:-) -- but i've yet to figure out *how* to tap
into the web console's *output*.  i'm sure someone very clever could figure this
out....

however, my attraction to the console suggestion is this: "Every console message
goes to all destinations specified on the ldevlist."  no more y-cables!  no
switchlogs every 10 minutes.  no more waiting for other software companies to
write an mpe client for their enterprise monitoring suite!  sure, you'll still
have to craft a solution -- but at least there would be a way to tap into
console information in real time.              - d
