Actually, there is one caveat identified in the Communicator and that is
if you use sync at end, you can only restore on a 5.5 or later machine.
This note is hard to find because it is actually listed under the
ehancements to TurboIMAGE. I quote:
"All true-online backups created with the sync point at the beginning
can be restored on any MPE/iX system. However, backups created with the
sync point at the end can only be restored or verified on MPE/iX Release
5.5 or later."
