I understand that we would have very little clout against HP if we were
really trying to battle them. I don't think they need to be battled just
persuaded. This need not, indeed should not, be adversarial.

I may be naive but I still do not see anything nefarious about the EOL of
the 3000. It was a business decision. Business decisions are not based upon
anything but the company's perception of what will benefit the company. We
may have a last chance to show them that at least part of their perception
was wrong.

I only bring up the lobby issue because it is an avenue to be explored.
Directly lobbying Winston Prather and CSY is still our best bet. (Word of
advice: Name calling and accusations are very poor lobbying tactics.) As I
said before I may be naive but I honestly believe that while we may disagree
on what the right thing is everyone wants to do the right thing.
