Actually it's ODBC/32 from MiniSoft, and I've used it quit a bit. I love
it, it's fast, easy to set up, and easy to use. It's so much less money
than MBFoster because the MBFoster product comes with DataExpress, a
reporting tool. The ODBC functionality is buried in DataExpress as I
understand it, so it's not offered as a seperate product.

The limitation with what comes with MPE/iX is that it only natively works
with Allbase files. You can get to Image by setting up the Allbase pass
through tables. ODBC/32 goes against Image, MPE and KSAM files natively
and directly, so that's why it's fast and easy. I think there are some
scalability issues with the MBFoster version as well.

Subject: Minisoft ODBC Link?

Has anyone used Minisoft's ODBC Link?
What were/are your impression(s)?
Why is it so much less money then MB Fosters ODBC package?
What's the limitations with the version of MB Fosters ODBC package that
comes with MPE/iX 6.0?
