I'm experiencing my first disk failure (HP7937FL) using Mirror/XL. So far
so good, no outage to declare. HP will be on site tonight to fix/replace
the drive. Unfortunately, I am not too sure how to proceed with the change.
Since the bad drive is located in the middle of the path of 6 drives, HP
tells me that they cannot go play with it alone. The entire path has to be
disabled. All 6 drives on that path form a unique volset. The path is also
the BACKUP set of the volset. I'd like to know how I can disable mirroring
and allow for the USER set to stay online and keep the users happy. The
manual I looked into made the disk replacement look easy (no outage of any
king). Next step was to use REPLACEMIRRVOL command from volutil once HP is
done replacing the unit. Has anyone been through this lately?

TIA... JB
