A few days ago I mentioned (perhaps complained, in the minds of some) that the
newsgroup, comp.sys.hp.mpe, had become essentially disconnected from HP3000-L.
We were missing some important items, most especially Harry Sterling's recent
posting to comp.sys.hp.mpe about the future of the HP3000. Jeff Kell
apparently worked his magic spells well because I've noticed over the past two
days that the propagation delay between the list and the newsgroup has dropped
to just a few hours from its previously taking days to get a message across,
if the messages ever did.

Jeff is to be sincerely thanked for his efforts on all our behalfs. However I
feel directly responsible for this particular bit of nonsense; the posting
above speaks for itself as to the value of having the newsgroup tightly
coupled to the HP3000-L.
