To remain employable, I widened my abilites way beyond pure technical skills
a long time ago. I expanded into marketing, sales, management, and so forth.
Of course, I still do nuts and bolts from time to time. I gave up a purely
technical resume about 7 years ago.

Not sure it can work for everyone. It worked for me.
