Hello,

Several years ago I made a few command files and a background job along
these
lines. The job would wake up every 10 minutes and would take care of a
certain
set up replies if they were at least 30 minutes old. I wanted human
operators
to check invoices so I gave them a command that they executed after they
double-checked the invoices. The command file does a recall, searches for
the particular reply (invoices for example). Once it is found the reply is
taken
care of and another recall is done for verification.

The real heart of the matter is a command file that you execute with 2
parameters. The first parameter is search text used to identify the
particular
reply. The second paramter is the response you wish to reply with.

For example, PICK lists are handled with "PICKRPLY PICK,Y".
PACKING SLIPS are handled with "PICKRPLY PACK,Y".

The background job consists of the streamed file and a couple
of command files.

We use the interactive version only on the system console. I have
not tried it on a terminal or PC in a LONG time.

If anyone is interested contact me directly.
