Exactly what we do on disc migrations and reloads..

We first restore @.PUB.SYS with directory then do a second restore
with @[log in to unmask]@-@.PUB.SYS..

The reason seems to be, that if you restore @[log in to unmask]@;DIRECTORY;CREATE using
parallel devices, while tape#1 is restoring the directory and HFSDIR files
tape2-x are restoring real files, posix included with default attributes.

Using INTERleave on the store can also cause posix permission problems on
the
restore we have found.

To store and restore just files under root (/opt, /bin, /etc..) we use
this syntax in our indirect file /[a-z]@/

By using the 2 restore method I have avoided all problems.
