Dunno if secure FTP will run on MPE specifically, but what about a "front-end"
box that talks securely to GM, and directly to the HP? [i.e., an "old 386
running linux"] If transmissions were originally bisync and you're moving to
something "faster" [frame relay?] but requires an IP connection/conversation,
even an old 386 should be able to "keep up" [unless you're going faster than,
say, T3...] Plus the "interim" box can do a better job of syncronizing file
transfers [i.e., so that the HP doesn't try to start a job with a
half-transferred file...]
