Denys does his yearly thing (which is nice):

Then corrects his date error (which is good):

> It appears that I have managed to screw up the date of the
> luncheon. It will be on Thursday the 23rd. I have also been

********* BUT **********:

Sorry Denys, I respectfully but formally and seriously object to
doing it as a gathering in the general lunch area on Thursday 23
August: SIGImage/SQL is scheduled to meet from 11:30 to 15:30
that day. Members of 3000-L are among the most likely attendees
at SIGImage/SQL. And as you noted, at least two SIGs are meeting
every day over lunch; I expect the other SIG leaders would object
to doing it on Wed or Friday in the general lunch area....

Trying to be constructive, I offer an alternative; actually, just a
further refinement: How about holding the hp3000-L lunch
during lunch AT THE SIGImage/SQL MEETING ??... The SIG
meeting attendees are going to get the same food... This should
be ideal; or at least the best choice; since the only other SIG
meeting during lunch on Thurs is SIG SysAdmin; i.e.: The UNIX
weenies....
