The "irritating messages" were introduced in the pre-MR build but they are
essentially harmless, only a nuisance; they are a "non-error" but as such
they apparently haven't achieved critical mass for the lab to fix [yet].
As to form-feeds, if a spoofle begins with an %61 cctl (top of page) like
many do, the HP-IB and serial drivers munch the first one after a header
page.  Networked printers don't, but it's a known problem and is being
addressed; for now you get a blank page after the header.  If you're using
3rd-party forms (e.g., Formation) or TTYPE files you can have similar
quirks.  All in all, it works, and with 3rd party backup, there are some
combinations of things to workaround most if not all problems.  I'm working
on a "compatibility" article for the various permutations I've had to deal
with, but it is the early stages of development, and is incomplete with
respect to the possibilities.
