You should note there are several network protocols used. We currently
use NS/VT which I believe is more efficient than TELNET - especially
when the terminal is in Character rather than block mode.

The bottom line is that circuit bandwidth is not a concern, even if you
had a
thousand users all sign on at the same time. It may be hard on the CPU,
but
it represents a very small load to the network.
