The file IODFAULT.PUB.SYS lists the drives that MPE supports.
Many of the latest entries are the OEM drivers you are
interested in.

From my MPE 5.5 system, I get the following entries:

         {3.50" 1.0 GB Single-Ended SCSI Disk Device.                       }
DSP3107LS DISC 4  2 0128 SCSI_DISC_DM LOGICAL_DEVICE_MANAGER 0008 NONE NONE &
DISC+SPOOL 0 DA 0 FALSE FALSE
ST31200N DISC 4  2 0128 SCSI_DISC_DM LOGICAL_DEVICE_MANAGER 0008 NONE NONE &
DISC+SPOOL 0 DA 0 FALSE FALSE
HPC2247M1 DISC 4  2 0128 SCSI_DISC_DM LOGICAL_DEVICE_MANAGER 0008 NONE NONE &
DISC+SPOOL 0 DA 0 FALSE FALSE
ST31230N  DISC 4  2 0128 SCSI_DISC_DM LOGICAL_DEVICE_MANAGER 0008 NONE NONE &
DISC+SPOOL 0 DA 0 FALSE FALSE

         {3.50" 2.0 GB Single-Ended SCSI Disk Device.                       }
HPC2490AM DISC 4  2 0128 SCSI_DISC_DM LOGICAL_DEVICE_MANAGER 0008 NONE NONE &
DISC+SPOOL 0 DA 0 FALSE FALSE
ST32550N  DISC 4  2 0128 SCSI_DISC_DM LOGICAL_DEVICE_MANAGER 0008 NONE NONE &
DISC+SPOOL 0 DA 0 FALSE FALSE
VP3215S   DISC 4  2 0128 SCSI_DISC_DM LOGICAL_DEVICE_MANAGER 0008 NONE NONE &
DISC+SPOOL 0 DA 0 FALSE FALSE

         {5.25" 2.0 GB Single-Ended SCSI Disk Device.                       }
HPC3010M1 DISC 4  2 0128 SCSI_DISC_DM LOGICAL_DEVICE_MANAGER 0008 NONE NONE &
DISC+SPOOL 0 DA 0 FALSE FALSE

         {3.50" 4.0 GB Single-Ended SCSI Disk Device.                       }
ST15150N DISC 4  2 0128 SCSI_DISC_DM LOGICAL_DEVICE_MANAGER 0008 NONE NONE &
DISC+SPOOL 0 DA 0 FALSE FALSE

If you look at the model numbers that begin each entry, you will notice
that the 1st characters of each entry indicate the manufacturer,
ie: HP = Hewlett-Packard, ST = Seagate, etc.
Since this information is used by SYSGEN when you add devices to
the system, you should be safe using anything you find listed here.

A glance at my Computer Shopper, shows a Seagate 32550N (this is
out of their Barracuda family) available by mail order for $669
(Dirt Cheap Drives, Houston).

Obviously, you will need to add your own case, power supply, UPS, etc.

Hope this helps.....
