Exactly what kind of tape are you feeding it? A DDS-3 tape really likes
125-meter MRS tapes.

Subject: [HP3000-L] DDS DRIVE PROBLEMS
I have a new system with a DS-3 drive in it, and I cant get a tape to
load
in the drive. The drive comes up with Tape and Clean lights lit, and it
wont
accept a tape..? Does the Clean light mean something needs to be reset?
How
can this be done when you don't have an ops sys yet? I have tried two
dds
drives, same result on both..
Anybody BTDT please?
Thanks,
jp
