I sent this to robelle today. I have several jobs that are difficult to
test normally (ignoring year 2000 issues). These jobs all deal w/$today.
This would allow me to test Supertool stand alone based on know critical
dates. I don't want to have to buy yet another product. It seems to me
that this would be a relatively straight forward request. Am I asking
too much?
I would like to test several jobs for Year 2000 compliance. It would be
nice if I could use a set command, or a jcw and have supertool use this
new date. for example:
!JOB ..
!set jcw SUPERDATE "20000101"
!Run Supertool.pub.robelle
---Warning supertool using Jan 1, 2000 as system date
ba basename,mode,pass
get setname
if datefield >= $today(+1) {this would check for jan 2, 2000]
.
.

Yes, that would be nice .... Happily, there are already some products
that
make this possible outside of Suprtool. I'd recommend you take a look at
