Are there similiar experiences with DDS2 or DDS? I have one of each and
(for the most part) have had no problems restoring files stored on
either drive. The tapes I did have problems with on DDS2 were tapes
that were used many (too many?) times to do backups, so now I am
limiting how many times a tape may be used. Still, overall, when I have
needed to restore files, I have been able to in 98% of the cases.
(Course, this is using the same drive it was created on also).
