For sound streams at least, there are products that intercept the sound as it
is being sent to the sound card.  See Total Recorder at:

So no matter what fancy SDMI etc schemes the RIAA comes up with, the sound can
be captured in an unsecured format if it can be played on your PC even with a
secure player.

Admit it, RIAA, you've lost, and it's time to revamp your current pricing and
distribution models.
