I agree, PS is a great product. I am doing a migration project, and it
has helped allot. For example, migrating HP-COBOL, besides all the
Image, MPE Intrinsic, and Vplus issues, PS allows me to access, edit,
compile source code on the HP3000 and on the target platform from within
the same project folder. PS already knows how to speak MPE, the target
platform only needs telnet, and a flavor of Cobol that supports a
command-line compile. Now you're cookin', simply copy-paste from the
HP3000 to the target platform, and click on compile. Using AcuCobol on
this particular project , in many cases there were no source-code
changes needed. It was very cool to just copy-paste, click compile and
No Errors! I don't know of another editor that would allow me to do that!

Another odd use for PS, years ago I worked at place where adding
network printers was so common, I used PS to add a network printer to
MPE in about 30 seconds.
In my J3KSysAdmin Project, it went something like:
Click NPCONFIG, add Ldev, IP (Coppy-Paste from a pre-existing entry),
Save. (10 seconds of you are slow)
Click on SYSGEN-Command file, modify the AD command giving the correct
LDEV number, Save, and Compile (10 to 20 seconds).
The Key here is to set the compiler to SYSGEN, and the Linker to
DOIONOW, for the SYSGEN command file.

Doing this migration project, my client needed to purchase five PS
seats, lic keys. Eventually I did get in touch with Graham Woolley who
is somehow privileged by Whisper Technology, and he was able to help me
with a valid lic for my migration project. No support, no software, no
cost, just a valid lic key. Someone on the HP3000-L sent me a copy of
the latest 4.4 release, that I very much appreciate. It would NOT be
illegal for me to past it on to anyone else, it will exp in 30 days,
unless you get in touch with Graham and he gives you a key.

So if Graham Woolley (ask me for his address) gets too many emails,
maybe it will send a message to whom ever owns it to put it back on the
market somehow, or give to someone who wants to.

I already asked Graham if he could give me the source code ;-)
He didn't reply.
