Hi Jim--

I've got an old 948 faceplate on my desk from the first 3000 I managed.
(yes, I know, lots of people can top that...)

My apologies if this is obvious and you've already checked, but are you
certain that the cabling to the external ldev3 drive is correct? Since
sysgen has ldev3 as 4.5.2 and ldev4 as 4.1.2, if they were inadvertently
cabled to the same bus (HPIB?) then I would expect the symptoms you are
seeing. If so, Moving ldev3 to the correct physical connection should fix
it.
