Yes, it should work if the following are installed:

1. NetBEUI (which Windows Networks uses)
2. IPX/SPX (for Netware - if you must <g>)
3. TCP/IP (of course).

As above, using Microsoft TCP/IP with DNS active, a HOSTS file (for the
local stuff), NetBEUI with the default properties, and IPX/SPX with the
default properties.

Samba permits drive and printer redirection, just as can be done in
Explorer or the Printers folder. NetWare has really nothing to do with it
- just don't try to use the same drive letter that may be in use by a
NetWare server (ie, if you "mapped" a drive to a NetWare volume, remapping
that same drive to the HP3000 will cause you to lose that NetWare mapping
(although you should get a warning about that).

Basically - it shouldn't matter if you are using NetWare or not. The only
thing that comes to mind that might affect the operation at the client
(your PC) is the use if the 32-bit NetWare client. I've heard horror
stories about that beast, although I don't have first-hand knowledge on it
- the MS client (with NDS, by the way) works just fine). Just keep in
mind that Samba allows you to map a drive letter to an HP3000 filespace or
printer.

Hope this helps...
