Assuming it's a Seagate model ST32550N, it can.
 
First, you need to set it's SCSI address appropriately. This could be tricky
if you're not careful. Check out the manual for proper jumper settings. (If
you need help here, just ask).
 
Also, in SYSGEN, you need to use the device id ST32550N.
 
You may also need a powerpatch. I'm not sure which one that particular
driver came on, but I know it's not on the original 5.0.
 
Incidentally, this drive also works very well on a HP9000 model F20 (HP-UX
versions 9.04, 10.01, and 10.10).
 
Presumeably, it also works on a PC, though I haven't tried it yet.
