Why would you want response off-list? These are excellent questions.

A true, uncrippled N-class machine is a vast improvement over any other
3000. The PCI architecture has done great things to the performance of MPE.
The main thing that was holding MPE back was the disk access and PCI changed
all that. These machines are fast.

We have many customers that went from 9x8, 9x9 and 997 and were just
overjoyed at the vast performance improvement.

Batch jobs will really speed up because of the faster processors and the
speed of I/O.

Denys

A Positive Attitude Will Not Solve All of Your Problems, But
It will Annoy Enough People to Make It Worth The Effort.

what is your true opinion with the N-Class machine?

Will it truly buy us something or not? They are starting to seriously look
at purchasing that machine.

Will we will see a noticeable improvement with batch jobs.?
