     Something like what we have on our VAX3300. The show users/full gives
     you the originating ip address among other things.

I am not a 3000 internals techie expert, but I can do a big
10-4 on visibility of the IP address.  It sure would be nice,
for just one example, if the SESSION screen in GLANCE
would show the originating IP address for all users that
are on PCs coming in over the network.  We have PC
network users scattered all over the country, and often
the thing that enquiring system management minds would
most like to know is the client's IP address........
 
By the way Newbie, if you really want to hear from expert
users:   since your address appears to be Bldg 44, I urge
you to walk across the lawn & attend the IPROF conference
on 5-8 April 95, at HP's very own Customer Visit Center.
SIGMPE, SIGUNIX, SIGSYSMAN, SIGIMAGE, and many of
the usual suspects on HP3000-L are expected to be there....
