Dear friends,

I'm sorry for asking this little question, but I can't find this in my =
manuals.
I have a lot of cobol-programmes that call c-programmes for =
communication
processes. (sockets & dce)

When I call a c-programma is allways pass strings. For this purpose I =
allways
convert my int and longs into ascii. This is rather silly, so I want to =
pass int's and longs directly. However I don't know which decarations I =
should use on the cobol
side. I've tried a lot of them but results are somewhat wacky.

so              char[10]       =3D pic x(10)
        int            =3D pic ?????
        long             =3D pic ?????
            float[]           =3D pic ?????

I'm sure it somewhere in the manuals but if anyone here knows, please =
let me know

Thanks,
