I don't know about JTMAIL, but I just downloaded the free MAIL from
Telamon's ftp server, at: ftp://ftp.telamon.com/dist/mail.nm.wrq
(or, for a non-WRQ-labels version: ftp://ftp.telamon.com/dist/mail.nm).
Here's what you see when you run it with no arguments:
MAIL(nm): 25Sep97-09:24 (A.01.37) MPE/iX
Telamon, Inc. (C) 1994, 1997
Usage:
:MAIL "-t to [-c cc] [-b bcc] [-f from] [-h host] [-s 'subject'] &
: [-i] [-v] [-p] [-q] [-m file | text]"
-t - 'To:' address {may be repeated}
-c - 'Cc:' address {may be repeated}
-b - 'Bcc:' address {may be repeated}
-f - 'From:' address
-h - SMTP host system
-s - 'Subject:' info
-i - Interactive (prompting) mode
-v - Verbose mode
-p - Purge '-m' file when done
-q - Suppress delivery confirmation msg
-m - File to be mailed
text - If '-m' not specified, use as mail message
In batch, '-m $stdlist' will cause the current spool-file to be read and sent.
Defaults from system variables:
MAILSMTPHOST -> host
MAILFROM -> from
MAILSUBJECT -> subject
If an SMTP host isn't specified, the first 'To' address's host will be used.
If no 'From' option is specified, 'racecar' will be used.
A sample usage from batch is:
mail "-t [log in to unmask] -h mymailer.com -s BoostHP3000 -m reasons.pub.good3000"
Note: program expects a blank after the option (e.g., "-sBoostHP3000" isn't a
valid subject specification).
I've tried it, it works, and I'm now using it to email me from a batch program!
I also did:
:sh
ln -s /TELAMON/PUB/MAIL /usr/local/bin/mail
Note: The Telamon MAIL program must be in a group with PM capability.
